Ricardo Pessoa was only 18 when he recovered a car for the first time. As soon as he finished it, he went to trade it for his first Land Rover. This was followed by many, always of the same brand, bought, recovered and sold. Graduated in communication, the founder of Coolnvintage worked for the next ten years in video and photography, also dedicating himself to the recovery of apartments in Lisbon. But he never left out the hobby that began as a teenager and which, a dozen cars later, gave rise to a very unique brand.
Coolnvintage was officially born in 2012. With a workshop located in Montijo and a window open to the world on the internet, the brand has been growing internationally much more than in Portugal.
“What distinguishes us is the aesthetics in the presentation of our cars, which is done in both photography and video,” says Ricardo. “We are currently the most publicly-speaking Land Rover restoration brand in social media. This in the automotive sector which is generally not very attentive to these issues.” That’s why, as soon as it hit the market, Coolnvintage caught the attention of collectors around the world. But what seemed to be good news proved to be a challenge.
